Review | The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

The Night CircusThe Night Circus is a story about two magicians who are in a competition to see who is the better of the two. The Night Circus is the venue selected for the magicians to compete in. To outsiders, and even those who run in the inner circles of the Circus, it is quite clear that this not your typical circus, but something rather extraordinary. Things start getting complicated when the two magicians competing against one another begin having feelings for each other. It also doesn’t help that neither of them knows what really must be done to be crowned the victor.

I loved this book. I thought it was so imaginative and enchanting. I truly found myself wanting to go and get lost in the tents of The Night Circus for an evening. I would definitely be a ‘Reveur’ of the Circus (you’ll have to read the book to find out what a Reveur is). I listened to the audio version of this novel which is read by Jim Dale (he narrated the audio versions of the Harry Potter books), and it was wonderful. This book is definitely an all-time top ten book for me.
